Open Water Class Pool Schedule

St. Mary's County Wellness & Aquatics Center

Wellness & Aquatics Center classes are weekend dates. Both days are required. Saturday times are 8AM-Noon and Sunday times are Noon to 4PM. Registration must be completed through the St. Mary's County Department of Parks and Recreation. Click on the date of the class below to be directed to the registration page. After registration is complete and payment has been made, please complete this form to obtain your online E-learning code.**

2025 Wellness and Aquatics Center Pool Dates

**Due to contractural requirements, the courses held at the WAC will cost $295 for St. Mary's County residents and $300 for non-residents. The course fee covers the online course and pool work. There will be an additional $400 due to complete the certification once you are ready to sign up for one of our quarry checkout weekends to finish the final 4 dives required to obtain certification. The $300 checkout weekend fee will be paid directly to us once you decide on a weekend that works for your schedule.**

2025 Evening Class Pool Schedule

Classes held at our on-site pool are broken down into (4) 2 hour sessions that run from 6PM-8PM on either a Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs schedule for two weeks. The first date of class is an orientation night. Orientation night consists of gear fitting, paperwork, and the required swim test and usually lasts about an hour and a half.
