What Is a PADI Divemaster?
A Divemaster is a trained dive professional who assists instructors, supervises certified divers, manages logistics, and serves as a role model in the water and on the surface.
This course focuses on leadership, problem management, dive planning, risk awareness, and professionalism—skills that separate casual divers from capable dive leaders.
Is the Divemaster Course Right for You?
Divemaster training is ideal if you:
- Have completed Rescue Diver and EFR training
- Want to develop leadership and mentoring skills
- Are considering a career or long-term involvement in diving
- Value competence, standards, and responsibility
This is not a casual course. Divemaster candidates are held to professional expectations both in the water and in how they conduct themselves.
Professional Training for Mid-Atlantic Dive Conditions
Divemasters trained in the Mid-Atlantic learn to manage real-world variables such as cold water, reduced visibility, currents, surface conditions, and diverse diver experience levels.
These conditions build strong situational awareness and adaptability that carry over to leadership roles anywhere in the world.
What Comes After Divemaster?
