Regulator & BCD Service Serving Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia & Delaware

At Southern Maryland Divers, your safety starts with your equipment. Even the most skilled diver depends on properly maintained gear, and many diving incidents happen because equipment is overdue for service or improperly cared for.

Our professional scuba equipment service and repair helps ensure every dive is safe, smooth, and stress-free—whether you’re diving locally in Maryland or traveling abroad.

Looking for new or replacement equipment? Visit our scuba gear shop in Maryland to explore regulators, BCDs, dive computers, and accessories from trusted brands.

Why Regular Scuba Gear Service Matters

We recommend:

  • Annual inspections for all regulators and BCDs

  • Complete regulator rebuilds every two years or every 100 dives, whichever comes first

  • This gear is life support equipment. Proper maintenance is vital for proper performance. See our feedback and trust that your gear will be ready to dive.

Routine service protects your investment, extends equipment life, and ensures reliable air delivery on every dive. New divers completing their Open Water scuba certification should schedule regulator and BCD inspections before their first independent dives.

Certified Regulator & BCD Technicians

Our certified technicians service all makes and models of regulators and BCDs, using manufacturer-approved parts and procedures. When you drop your gear off with us, you’re trusting professionals who dive, teach, and service equipment every day.

Service Turnaround & Priority Options

Our standard service turnaround time is 20–30 business days, excluding weekends and holidays. Many services are completed sooner.

Due to ongoing supply chain challenges, delays can occur if replacement parts are on backorder. We strongly recommend scheduling service well before your next dive tripIf you’re preparing for a dive vacation, scheduling pre-trip regulator servicing ensures your equipment is ready before you travel.

Traveling Soon?

For divers with upcoming travel, we offer Front-of-Line Service, which moves your regulator set to the top of our service queue.

While completion before travel can’t be guaranteed—especially if parts are delayed or extensive repairs are required—we’ll make every effort to meet your timeline.
If your regulator isn’t ready in time, we’ll provide a free rental regulator set for your trip.
