At Southern Maryland Divers, we offer a complete lineup of scuba gear and tank rentals for recreational, advanced, and technical divers. All rental equipment is professionally maintained, routinely serviced, and inspected so you can dive with confidence.

Whether you need a full scuba package, tanks, or specialized technical equipment, our rental fleet is ready to support local diving, training, and travel.

All rental equipment is maintained through our professional scuba equipment service and inspection program to ensure reliability and safety.

Rental Certification & Safety Requirements

Divers must be certified to the level of the equipment they are renting.
For example, drysuit rentals require proof of drysuit certification.

This policy exists to protect both our customers and our staff—and to ensure every diver is properly trained for the equipment they’re using.

Tank Return Policy

• Tanks returned with less than 500 PSI will be charged a VIP inspection fee

• If water is found inside a tank, additional tumbling and valve rebuild fees will apply

These procedures ensure rental cylinders remain safe for every diver.

Annual tank inspections and hydrostatic testing help keep rental and privately owned cylinders in safe working condition.

Complete Scuba Package

• Aluminum 80 ft³ tank with air fill – $15

• Steel 72 or 100 ft³ tank with Nitrox – $20

Buoyancy & Breathing Equipment

• BCD (jacket style with weight pockets) – $20.00

• BCD (backplate / wing) – $25.00

• Regulator setup with console – $25.00

Exposure Protection & Accessories

• Full wetsuit (5/3mm) – $15.00

• Dive computer (wrist style, Nitrox capable) – $20

• Weights (hard or soft) – $1 per lb

We support advanced and technical diving with specialized rental equipment maintained to strict standards.

• Deco cylinder (40 ft³) with technical fill (up to 100% O₂) – $30.00

• Deco regulator with button SPG (oxygen DIN setup) – $15.00

• Sidemount regulator setup with stage configuration – $75.00

• Dive Rite Nomad sidemount BCD – $50.00

• Dive Rite O₂ptima closed-circuit rebreather – $200.00

Technical and CCR equipment rentals are commonly used by divers enrolled in advanced and technical scuba training programs.
