Blending custom scuba gas mixes—whether Nitrox, Trimix, or any specialty mixture—requires time, precision, and strict safety procedures. Oxygen and helium must be handled with exceptional care, especially when boosting them into cylinders using a high-pressure booster pump. Each blend is calculated, added in stages, analyzed repeatedly, and adjusted until the mix meets exact specifications.

Because oxygen is a reactive gas and helium behaves differently under pressure, every step must be performed slowly and deliberately to prevent heat buildup, ensure stability, and protect both the equipment and the cylinder being filled. The booster pump increases pressure safely, but using it adds time, wear, and significant energy costs to the blending process.
