Travel - Meg Tooth Weekends
Dive the warm blue waters off North Carolina in search of giant Megalodon teeth. Our charter partner runs a top-tier operation with a spacious, comfortable boat for the ride out and back. The captain consistently puts divers on productive sites, and it’s rare for anyone to come up empty. Charter fees cover the boat ride only; divers must supply all gear, including tanks and weights. Rentals are available through us or the charter operator if you prefer not to transport your own equipment.
The charter departs from Wrightsville Beach, NC, where you’ll find plenty of nearby lodging and a lively beach-town atmosphere with activities for non-divers as well.

Both days are three-tank dive charters. The charter fee is for all six dives, and divers must book the full weekend. We do not offer single-day spots because demand is high and travel time from Southern Maryland makes one-day bookings difficult to fill.
Advanced Open Water and Nitrox are required certifications (no exceptions). These dives take place 40+ miles offshore, and participants must be experienced and comfortable in open-ocean conditions. Depths range from 85–110 feet depending on the site selected by the captain. Required gear—beyond standard scuba equipment—includes a wreck reel, surface marker buoy, and a collection bag for recovered fossils or teeth. Tech and rebreather divers are welcome but must hold proper certifications for the gear and dive strictly within those limits; violations result in removal from future trips.

DAN Diver Insurance is mandatory and will be verified before boarding. No proof of coverage means no diving and no refund.
Payment and cancellation info:
Payment is due in full at booking. You may cancel for any reason with a full refund up to 60 days before the charter. Within 60 days, refunds are only issued if your spot is filled by a standby diver or a replacement you provide. Weather- or charter-related cancellations are fully refunded. Because these trips are in high demand, this policy is strictly enforced. We do not profit on these charters; a small convenience fee applies to credit card payments. Cash or check reflects the exact cost.
